Katan Silk

The Katan silk saree, which has a very old history, was brought from Persia and was worn by the ladies of the royal lineage of the Mughal Emperors. The Katan silk was renowned for its fine texture, and these women commonly wore them in their exquisitely fashioned clothes with amazing designs. Katan is a fabric with the same weave as silk but spun out of pure silk threads.
